From 5/19/17 5 p.m. PDT to 5/20/17 8 a.m. PDT, 8x8 performed emergency maintenance at our Hong Kong data center. 8x8's redundant routing shifted traffic to the nearest data center in the UK, without need for customer action.

If you experienced phone connectivity issues during or following this maintenance, please both:

  1. Ensure your firewall is allowing traffic to 8x8 UK subnet
  2. Flush DNS on your router(s) to update your DNS records and accommodate 8x8's automated traffic rerouting.

Note: It is possible that customers physically located outside of the Hong Kong region may still be affected by this maintenance due to network configuration. Such customers should also complete the steps above in the event that 8x8 phones lose connectivity during or following the maintenance window.
