The 8x8 Local Number Porting (LNP) team considers requests for rush or expedited number ports on a case-by-case basis.
Our phone number carriers require a valid reason before submitting an expedited porting request. This generally means out of service or disconnected lines, and ensuring access to emergency services (911, Police, Fire, Ambulance, or Medical Facilities). However, this does not guarantee that shortened intervals can be met.
Requests for expedited porting simply to avoid a subsequent billing cycle are typically not honored by other providers or carriers, as service will not be interrupted. Please note that some carriers will not expedite for any reason outside of service issues.
