Firewall Configuration
- Go to Firewall > Attack Prevention. Disable Stealth Mode by ensuring that the checkbox next to Stealth Mode is unchecked. Block UDP Flood also should be unchecked, as SIP must stay active and uses UDP.
- Click Save.
- Go to Firewall > SIP ALG. Uncheck the box next to SIP ALG.
- Click Save.
- Go to Advanced Settings > Session Settings. Set UDP Session Timeout Duration to 660.
- Click Save.
- Go to Firewall > Access Rules. Here you will be adding 8x8 subnets. Three rules must be created for each set of IP Address ranges. This allows information that must be sent to 8x8 to not be stopped by firewall.
- Set the Connection Type to Outbound (LAN (Local Network) > WAN (Internet).
- Set the Action to Always Allow.
- Enter the CIDR (Destination IP Address) ranges as shown in the example below. Destinations IP Address Ranges include: 192.84.16.1 to 192.84.16.254, 192.84.18.1 to 192.84.18.254, and 8.28.0.1 to 8.28.3.254.
- Set the Rule Status to Enabled.
- Click Save.
- Repeat Steps 7 through 12 for the remaining sets of IP Address Ranges.
- Go to Administration > Discovery - UPnP.
- Under UPnP Settings, check the box to Enable UPnP. This is a protocol that assists NAT traversal and several other functions.
Note: UPnP settings are not included in every RV series router. Your results may vary depending on hardware and firmware.
- Click Save.
