Symptom

When trying to calculate the total Sum of a column of values downloaded in Excel (XLS format) from Analytics for 8x8 Work using the Sum tool, the total Sum is always zero.

Resolution

Download your report file in CSV format rather than XLS.

CSV format is offered as standard but your computer settings may need to be changed to open this type of file as a CSV rather than XLS.

Cause

The report was exported as XLS format instead of CSV.
