Unable to add or remove users from a Storage Policy

Question

I can't click to check/uncheck users when editing the assigned users on a Storage Policy. Why can't I change the assigned users?

Answer

You are editing a default Storage Policy. Users are automatically assigned to default policies by license type and cannot be assigned to a default policy that does not match their assigned license or removed from a default policy in the Assign Users section.
