Error When Trying to Bulk Upload Contacts


When trying to bulk upload contacts into the Admin Console you receive a banner error "Bulk contacts upload completed with errors". The error in the generated reports shows as "Could not create contact. addCompanyContact failed with error:java.lang.RuntimeException: Multi-PBX Customer: Please provide the contactSiteId (siteCustomerId)"

There is a known issue when trying to upload in bulk or create contacts using a user that does not have a license applied. The workaround for this issue is as follows:

  1. Add a spare user license to the admin user being used to create the contacts.
  2. Create the contacts either individually or in bulk.
  3. Remove the license if no longer required.
