How to call a VCC channel number internally by dialing an extension


Users can call channel number internally from VO extensions.

Applies To

All users who who have access to VO. Though the channel numbers do not have a designated extensions, they can be dialed by setting always forward rule to channel number on any extension.


  1. You can use a spare extension, or create a user profile.
  2. Set the always forward rule pointing to required channel number.
  3. Ensure that the extension is set to be visible in contact directory.

Example: If x 1000 is set to always forward to +44xxxxxxxxxx(channel number) and set to be visible in company directory, users within the company can simply dial x1000 from their VO so that they can reach +44xxxxxxxxxx.
