Why do Auto Attendants, Ring Groups, and Call Queues have the primary admins contact picture?


When updating the primary admin's contact photo it also sets the contact photo of other service extensions on the PBX such as ring groups and auto attendants.

To mitigate ring group, auto attendant, and call queue contacts showing as the primary admin's photo, you can create a second, separate user for the primary admin to use as their extension instead of using the primary admin account. Before removing the license from the admin, log in to Work for Desktop as the admin and remove the picture from there. 


This is known behavior as the primary admin is the owner of the service extensions on the PBX.

Additional Information

If the primary admin uses DND, call queues and ring groups will also display the DND icon, with no impact to incoming calls.
