How to Notify Ring Groups Users Even If They Are Busy

Objective

To enable/disable the call waiting notification to 8x8 Work members from a Ring Group even if they are busy.

Applies To

• Admin Console
• Ring Groups

Procedure

1. Log in to Admin Console.
2. Click Ring Groups. 
3. Under Basic Information, toggle Notify members even if busy. 
   • If the extension has call waiting enabled and if the option is disabled within ring group for Notify members even if busy, it does not notify to the user for another incoming call.
   • If the extension has call waiting disabled and if the option is enabled within ring group for Notify members even if busy, it does not notify to the user for another incoming call.
   • If the extension has call waiting enabled and if the option is enabled within the ring group for Notify members even if busy, the user will be notified. 
4. Click Save.
