Why am I unable to create a private chat room in Work for Desktop
The user only has the option to create a Public chat room in Work for Desktop.
- Work for Desktop
This is by design if the user has the property 'Display contact in company directory' disabled. Please enable the property as below.
- Log into the Admin Console.
- Navigate to Users and locate the affected user.
- Enable the property Display contact in company directory' and click 'Save'.
- The user then needs to log out of the Work for Desktop application and then back in. They will then have the option to create a Private chat room.
