Does Work for Desktop work in the Microsoft Windows 7 operating system? Will it continue to be developed and supported on that platform?

Answer

Yes, Work for Desktop works in mentioned versions.

Due to discontinued support for the listed versions from Microsoft, 8x8 ceased development and engineering support for the Work Desktop application on the mentioned operating system.

The application may continue to work and users will still be able to receive technical support. However, bugs specific to these listed versions will no longer be addressed by 8x8. Future application development will not include testing on this platform, and users may experience deprecated functionality over time. 

In order to continue receiving the same level of functionality and support that you are accustomed to, we recommend upgrading your users to newer versions of the Windows operating system. Review a full list of supported operating systems for more information.
