What call scenarios will appear as missed calls in Work for Mobile call history?

Answer

Generally, a call must ring on the extension and not be answered for it to be classed as a missed call.

Missed call scenarios

These are expected to show in the call history as missed calls.

  • Calls that have been Rejected by the user
  • Calls following an extensions forwarding rule
    • When user does not answer the call within x seconds
  • Ring group call, each time the extension does not answer the offered call, even if it is the same call offered
  • Call Queue call, each time the extension does not answer the offered call, even if it is the same call offered

If Carrier Minutes are Enabled

  • Calls rejected by the user will appear in call history in a similar fashion as when carrier minutes are not enabled

Not Missed Call Scenarios

These and are not expected to show in the call history as missed calls.

  • Calls following an extensions forwarding rule
    • Forward all calls
    • When a user is Busy
    • When an internet connection is down

If Carrier Minutes are Enabled

  • Calls not missed will appear in call history in a similar fashion as when carrier minutes is not enabled

Additional Information

Call history entries can be deleted by the user and the scenarios listed are examples and not an exhaustive list.

There is a known issue where calls made will appear in the call history as the number of carrier minutes instead of the original recipient.
