This is a limitation on the carrier gateways where calls running for longer than 8 hours are automatically terminated to prevent lengthy stuck calls and for the billing process to run as it requires a disconnect time to calculate the cost of a call based on the duration. If calls run indefinitely these will never be billed.
Additional Information
How this can be prevented would be to logout between the 8 Hours say at the Lunch break and log back in after Lunch. This would spread the time over two sessions and allow for more than 8-hour single session.
