Create an SMS Outbound Queue in ContactNow

To create an SMS Outbound Queue, go to Agents, Teams and Queues, click on the Queues tab and select SMS Outbound under Add Queue. Learn more from the steps here.

The SMS Outbound Queue allows agents to send individual SMS messages. Agents can be restricted to use templates or have the option of entering free text. An SMS Report is provided to show a log of all SMS messages sent with filters and an export function.

To create an SMS Outbound Queue, navigate to Agents, Teams and Queues from the Configuration menu and click the Queues tab.

Click Add Queue located on the top-right corner of the page and select SMS Outbound from the drop-down menu.


Enter a name for the new SMS Queue and assign it to a campaign.

Choose SMS Outbound and click Add Queue.


Once you have created your SMS Queue, you can determine whether your agents will have the ability to input free text (i.e., manually typing an SMS to the customer), or you can limit them to only using set templates. See Manage messaging templates for steps to create and manage SMS templates.
