How Does an Agent Manually Make an Outbound Call

To learn how an 8x8 Contact Center agent manually makes an outbound call.

Procedure

The agent should follow these steps.

  1. Select Work Offline Status.
  2. Select the Phone icon.
  3. Enter the phone number in the box below the line 1 and 2 boxes.
  4. Click Dial.
  5. The workplace phone will ring, answer it.
  6. 8x8 Contact Center will dial the outbound call, and the sound of dialing can be heard.
  7. When answered the destination is connected.
