Setting Up 8x8 Meeting Rooms


Setting up 8x8 Meeting Rooms for your organization.

Applies To

  • 8x8 Meeting Rooms
  • Account Manager users
  • 8x8 Admin Console (X Series and Editions)


Account Manager Users

  1. Log in to the 8x8 Application Panel.
  2. Click Meetings.

  3. Select Meeting Rooms.

  4. Click Add new room.
  5. Fill out the necessary fields:

    • Connect a calendar
    • Room name
    • Select a calendar resource

      Please refer to your respective calendar app or vendor documentation for more information on calendar resources. 

    • Room country
    • Location
  6.  Click Save.
  7. Make note of the Pairing code.

Admin Console Users

Administrators who have migrated over to 8x8 Video Meetings will see the Meeting Rooms option in the Meetings page in Admin Console.

  1. Log in to Admin Console.
  2. Click Meetings.
  3. Select Meeting Rooms.
  4. Click Add new room.
  5. Fill out the necessary fields:
  6.  Click Save.
  7. Make note of the Pairing code.

Configure a Room System 

After configuring the appropriate hardware, administrators should:

  1. Install the appropriate Meeting Rooms applications for your conference room computer (Desktop app) and in-room controller (Mobile app) from
  2. Go to the room system and open
  3. Enter the room activation code.
  4. Pair the room with the iPad controller.
  5. Select the appropriate audio and video devices.
