8x8 Work for SugarCRM

The 8x8 Work for SugarCRM integration allows users of cloud-based SugarCRM to access call features of their 8x8 Work phone extension, as well as allowing them to create and save call records in SugarCRM.


Important: This article refers only to the 8x8 integration for the cloud-based version of SugarCRM.

The SugarCRM integration for Windows PC has been retired as of September 10, 2020. Click here for more info.

Applies To:

  • The cloud-based version of SugarCRM
  • 8x8 Work
  • Contact Center (CC)

Requirements & Limitations

  • Google Chrome is required.
  • The integration can only be launched in a floating window.
  • Click-to-Dial functionality is not natively supported.
  • Does not support the PC-installed version of SugarCRM

Supported CRM Objects

The following SugarCRM objects have been tested with the integration:

  • Accounts
  • Contacts
  • Leads
  • Opportunities
  • Cases

Note: Like all 8x8 telephony integrations, the SugarCRM integration is a convenient control panel for your 8x8 Work phone extension. It does not provide audio services.

For this reason, a desk phone or a softphone such as 8x8 Work for Desktop or 8x8 Work for Mobile is required to work in conjunction with the 8x8 Work for SugarCRM integration.
