Login Fails for the ACT! Plugin after X Series Migration

Symptom

When attempting to log in to the 8x8 ACT! plugin after their 8x8 service has been upgraded to X Series, users receive the message Login failed.

Cause

The ACT! plugin is not supported by Admin Console-based logins (X Series users).

Users of this plugin whose account has been migrated to X Series (Admin Console) will no longer be able to log into this ACT! plugin.

Resolution

Unfortunately there is no resolution to this issue.

8x8 is in the process of upgrading all customer accounts to a service platform which uses the newer Admin Console (X Series) instead of the legacy Account Manager. This is a one-way process, and cannot be undone.

No further development of this plugin is planned, and it will be retired when all account migrations are completed.
