Voice for Teams: Calls drop after being connected for 29 seconds
When making or receiving a call in Microsoft Teams, the answered call remains connected for 29 seconds, and then disconnects.
- 8x8 Voice for Microsoft Teams
- Microsoft Teams
The most likely cause of this issue is that no microphone is detected or configured in Microsoft Teams. Teams itself will detect this and disconnect your call after 29 seconds.
A detected microphone should appear in Microsoft Teams in Settings > Devices > Microphone.
If you have a microphone or device with one attached to your PC and None is listed in the Microphone section, you will need troubleshoot this issue either with your microphone, audio headset, or the PC it is connected to.
NOTE: This issue can also appear in the case of a Teams client installed into a virtual environment where no microphone has been configured.
