Is user call status (presence) supported between 8x8 Work and Microsoft Teams?

Due to current limitations of the Microsoft Teams API, call status (presence) is available only between 8x8 Work users, or only between Microsoft Teams users.
- Users of Microsoft Teams will not see the call status change of users making and receiving calls in 8x8 Work, on the same 8x8 service.
- Similarly, users of 8x8 Work will not see the call status change of other users who make and receive their calls in Microsoft Teams, on the same 8x8 service.
An 8x8 Voice for Teams user is on a call in Microsoft Teams, and has been for several minutes.
To other users in the Microsoft Teams environment, this person will correctly appear with a status of Busy.
However, this user is also logged into 8x8 Work Desktop at the same time, which shows her status on the same extension as Available. Another user who is also logged into 8x8 Work may call them thinking that they are Available, when they are actually busy on a call using Teams.
Note: For this and other reasons, it is recommended that you do not log into both Microsoft Teams and 8x8 Work at the same time.
