What plans are affected?
8x8 has brought the following plans to end of sale, and as customers' services and billing are transitioned, they will become discontinued and no longer available.
- Unlimited Extn Annual Plan (VOSVC0107)
- Virtual Meeting Annual Plan (VOSVC0042A-015)
- Virtual Meeting Annual 50 (VOSVC0042A-050)
- VO Phone Bundle (1-50) Annual (VOSVC0101B01A)
What exactly is happening with my annual plan(s)?
Upon your upgrade to X Series, your 8x8 Annual Service Plan(s) will be replaced with the equivalent monthly 8x8 X Series Plan(s), which will be reflected in your billing statements going forward.
Note: To offset payments you have already made for your existing Annual Service Plan(s), you will receive an appropriate discount on your X Series monthly service charges for the remainder of your current annual plan period.
Why is this happening?
As part of the upgrade of long-time 8x8 customers from our legacy platform to X Series, we will be transitioning any existing annual billing plans to our standard monthly billing. The X-Series platform does not offer annual billing.
When is this happening?
At the time of your migration to X Series.
What changes can I expect?
The only change is from annual to monthly billing. All 8x8 services will remain the same.
Will I be charged extra for this?
No, there is no additional cost.
Can I opt-out of moving to monthly?
Unfortunately, the previous services will no longer exist, so there is no opting out.
Are monthly invoices billing in advance (fees for the coming month) or arrears (fees incurred the previous month)?
Monthly Invoices are billed in advance but usage charges are billed in arrears.
Can I change my billing cycle date (i.e. 1-31, 15-14)?
Currently, we do not offer the option of changing the billing cycle.
Does this change my contract renewal date(s)?
Your renewal dates should remain the same per your original contract or any applicable amendments.

What will my bill look like afterward?
An example of the monthly statement is shown below:
I already paid for the whole year in advance, why do I have to pay monthly until my renewal?
Every month you receive a promotional credit equal for the monthly service for the affected lines until the promotional credit is exhausted.
In this example below a customer paid $480 7 months ago as a yearly fee. At a 12 month rate this would equate to 40 dollars a month. 8x8 will calculate a promotional credit for the remaining 5 months of the contract at 40 dollars each totaling 200 dollars. Each month a maximum up to the new monthly price will be credited until the promotional $200 is exhausted. Below is an example of how this will show in the Statement Details section for the yearly line upgraded.
