Ring Group Members Show As not from the same pbx

Symptom

Editing a Ring Group the existing Members display as "Member not from the same pbx".

And attempting to add members the list of user is blank.

Resolution

Edit the Admin user profile's "Contact directory scope".  This is the Admin user who is attempting to edit the Ring Group.

  1. In the Admin Console, log in as an Admin user with role assignment 8x8 Admin Console > Company Admin (default).
  2. Navigate to Users and edit the Admin user attempting to edit the Ring Group.
  3. In the Basic information section, change Contact directory scope from "PBX" (or "Site") to "Company".

Cause

In order to see "all" the users, the Admin user needs to have "Contact directory scope" set to "Company".
