Managing Call Recording Storage Policy in 8x8 Admin Console

 

Objective

Users with the unified storage policy can manage their call recording policy in 8x8 Admin Console.

The policy assigned to the user at that moment the recording is made determines how the recording will be stored. Changes made to an user’s policy will take effect on the user’s next available recording after the changes are made.

Procedure

Assign a policy

  1. Log in to 8x8 Admin Console.
  2. Click Storage Policy.

  3. Locate the policy to assign and click Edit.

  4. Select the number of days needed for hot/cold storage.
  5. Click Continue.
  6. Assign the policy to the required users.
  7. Click Save.

A user can only hold one Meetings policy, Contact Center policy, and Call Recordings policy at one time.

Create a Policy

  1. Click Create policy.
  2. Under Service select the license.

  3. Select the appropriate Hot storage and Cold Storage.
  4. Click Continue.
  5. Assign the policy to the required users.
  6. Click Save.
