The Quick start menu in the Virtual Office Configuration Manager is a new tool that helps guide administrators through basic setup tasks and provides help within the configuration manager.
The quick start menu is broken into two sections, Help and Tasks and can be accessed by clicking on the Help And Setup button in the top right of the Configuration manager.
Once you select the button you will see the following actions.
Tasks are walkthroughs specifically designed to help system administrators through the initial setup and configuration of their 8x8 account. While it is targeted towards smaller customers, many larger customers find it useful for assisting them through the setup process. Tasks ask simple questions to help guide you through the system setup process
The four tasks that are currently available are:
- Verifying your Business address.
- Getting a phone number or starting the number transfer process.
- Creating a user for the phone system.
- Making a call.
We recommend completing them in the order presented, just select one from the menu to get started
The help section has commonly used pages and walkthroughs to help you during the setup of your 8x8 system, you can use the search bar at the top to locate the corresponding help item. We add new walkthroughs from time to time to help our customers through the interface. Can't find what you are looking for?
