How changing the primary phone number of a user extension affects the external caller id

  • When the external caller id is set to a shared caller id

Answer

This depends on how you change the phone number:

  1. If you remove the old number then add the new number, the external caller Id changes to the new number also.

  1. If you add the new number then remove the old number, the Caller Id remains the same.
