Fast Busy When Forwarding Calls from AA/Ring Group to an External Number

 

Symptom

When forwarding calls from a Ring Group to an external number, the user receives a Fast Busy tone.

Applies To

  • 8x8 Admin Console

Resolution

Make sure the main company number is set properly in 8x8 Admin Console.

  1. Log into 8x8 Admin Console.
  2. Check the main company number under Sites > Edit > Voice Service Settings > Main Line Number.
  3. Choose an appropriate Main Line Number from the drop-down menu.
  4. Click Save.

If the Main Line Number is correctly configured and you are still receiving a Fast Busy tone, contact 8x8 Support for further assistance.
