Ring Group calls not following call forwarding rules in Configuration manger

Symptom

When setting the forwarding rules for a ring group to an user or service extensions, call routes to ring group voicemail

Applies To

  • Virtual Office Configuration Manager
  • Ring Group
  • Forwarding Calls

Resolution

1) Make sure at least a ring group member in Available status. If all ring group members in DND status, then calls overflow to Ring group Voicemail instead of second ring group

Cause

If all ring group members in DND status, then Ring group calls always overflow to ring group voicemail, which is expected behavior.
