Calling Error: Cannot Make Calls


When attempting to place a phone call via either the Virtual Office Desktop or Online application, you receive the following error: Cannot make calls. You don't have a calling location specified. Please add custom locations to place calls from.

The call is unable to complete.

Place the call again

This error is known to occur only intermittently, likely based on the call's data path. Subsequent calls should be successful. Please re-try any failed calls again.


This issue appears to be connected to the call's data path and should be intermittent. It is currently under investigation by 8x8 and full resolution is expected soon.
