Adding Ring Group or Call Queue As Favorite Adds Other Contacts
Symptom
When you add a ring group, auto attendant, call queue, or admin user as a favorite contact in the Work for Desktop or Work for Mobile application, multiple contacts are added to your Favorites list.
Applies To
- Work for Desktop
- Work for Mobile
- Ring Groups
- Call Queues
- Auto Attendants
- Contacts List
Resolution
Adding Primary Admin as Favorite
To mitigate ring group, auto attendant, and call queue contacts showing as Favorites when adding the primary admin as a favorite contact, create a second separate user for the primary admin to use as their extension instead of using the primary admin account.
Adding a Ring Group, Call Queue, or Auto Attendant as Favorite
At this time, adding any single ring group, call queue, or auto attendant to your Favorites list will instead display all items in each of those categories as favorites. This issue is being investigated for correction.
Cause
The ring group, auto attendant, and call queue contacts are all associated with the primary admin in the system.
