How to Create and Configure Auto Attendant Profiles

Create and configure Auto Attendant profiles in Account Manager.

Procedure
Before configuring an Auto Attendant, it is important to plan what want callers will experience when they call, and how the Auto Attendant should handle the caller. This will help you better define schedules and rules during the setup process. Use the printable Auto Attendant Worksheet to help you outline your Auto Attendant.
We recommend that you set up individual extensions, ring groups, and call queues before setting up your Auto Attendant. Last, check out some tips on:
Create a new Auto Attendant Profile
- Log in to Account Manager.
- Click Phone System on the top navigation bar.
- In the gray Phone System box on the left, click Auto Attendant.
- Under the Actions column to the right, click Create Auto Attendant Profile.
- Review the Auto Attendant Profile Overview and complete the Auto Attendant Worksheet.
- Click Continue at the bottom of the page.
- Follow the subsequent steps to set the parameters for your Auto Attendant.
- Click Next.
- When the profile is complete, click Create Profile.
- Back on the Auto Attendant profiles page, make sure the profile is turned on (under the Status column).
View and Configure Auto Attendant Profiles
- Log in to Account Manager.
- Click Phone System in the top navigation bar.
- In the gray Phone System box on the left, click Auto Attendant.
- The Auto Attendant page lists profiles by name. From here, you can:
- change the Auto Attendant’s name.
- turn the Auto Attendant on/off.
- edit the Auto Attendant’s profile.
