Transfers from the Auto Attendant to External Numbers Fail

Symptom

Forwards from the Auto Attendant to an external number fail

The Auto Attendant will not call out to record a greeting

Applies To

Account Manager 

Admin Console

Resolution For Account Manager

  1. Log in to Account Manager.
  2. Navigate to Phone System > Company Settings.
  3. Under Caller ID, select the Main Number.

  4. Click Save.

 

Resolution For Admin Console

Make sure the main company number is set properly in Configuration Manager.

  1. Log in to VO Admin Console
  2. Check the main company number under Sites > Edit > Voice Service Settings > Main Line Number.
  3. Choose an appropriate Main Line Number from the drop-down menu.
  4. Click Save.

If the Main Line Number is correctly configured and you are still receiving a Fast Busy tone, contact 8x8 Support for further assistance.

Cause

The Main Company Number is not set.
