Phone having a delay when picking up a regular call or a parked call. Sometimes it may show that BLF keys indicate the monitored extension's phone is not active or marked X.
- Power keys
- Ring Groups
Poly phones that have BLF keys configured between extensions should not be a member of the same Ring groups.
Both BLF Keys and Ring Groups use a SIP Forking Feature also known as Call Splitting that will send a signal to a group of phones to ring. If both BLF Keys and Ring Groups are associated with the group of phones, once the call comes in from the Ring Group, it will send Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) signal to all members of the group, and BLF Keys will also send a SIP signal to all configured phones and will use up the phone's resource causing either faulty BLF Keys function, a delay answering incoming calls, or a delay when taking parked calls.
We recommend the use of Group call pickup instead of Ring groups when phones are configured with BLF Keys.
For more information on how Group Call Pickup works, see What is the difference between Group Call Pickup and BLF Call Pickup.
