How to Listen to Voicemail
Objective
Access your voicemails from your computer, desk phone, or your smartphone or tablet.

Procedure
From a Computer
8x8 Work for Desktop
The most convenient and comprehensive way to manage your voicemail is via the 8x8 Work for Desktop app.
From Email
You can enable email notifications for voicemails, allowing you to receive your voicemail as:
- Attachment Only
- Notification Only
- Link & Attachment
- Link Only

From a Hard Phone
Please note that your voicemail password is the same for 8x8 Work for Desktop, 8x8 Work fo Mobile and your hard phone.
Your Own Extension
- Dial 555 and enter your voicemail password.
- Press 1 to listen to new messages.
- Press 2 to review old messages.
- Press 3 to review group messages.*
*Only if you are a member of a ring group.
Another Extension in Your System
- Dial 500, enter your extension number, then enter your voicemail password.
- Press 1 to listen to new messages.
- Press 2 to review old messages.
- Press 3 to review group messages.*
*Only if you are a member of a ring group.
Note: Access to voicemail from an outside (non-8x8) line is restricted for your security. A workaround to allow this is to create an Auto Attendant for your own number or another number in your system with an option that points to Voicemail System (extension 500).
From a Smartphone or Tablet
You can do one of the following:
- Log in to your Virtual Office Mobile App > tap Calls > tap Voicemails.
- Use the app dial pad to dial 555 and enter your voicemail password.
