When trying to send faxes to an external contact created in Work for Desktop, contact does not show in the search option. Faxes can be sent only by copy/pasting the number of that contact.
- Work for Desktop
The contact created must be created as a Work Fax or Home Fax.
- Search for the contact in question in Contacts;
- Click on the Edit option (pencil);
- Under the Phone section, make sure the category is either Work Fax or Home fax.
The Fax search option only shows numbers categorized as Work Fax or Home Fax, it will not show Mobile contacts, Work contacts nor Home contacts.
This article might not apply to all situations as there might be other reasons for contacts not to show. If these steps do not fix the issue, please further troubleshoot and escalate if needed.
