Phone Won't Activate and Displays Missing File Config Reverted


Physical phone screen displays the following error: "missing file, config. reverted." You are unable to activate the phone.

  • All IP phones


  1. Login to 8x8 Admin Console.
  2. Click Users.
  3. Locate the profile for the affected user.
  4. Under the Basic Information section of the profile, under the Language field, use drop-down menu to choose the correct language from the list.


This issue is due to physically typing a language under the user's Basic Information Language field, rather than choosing one from the drop-down menu.
