Changing Analog Voice to Fax Line OR vice-versa in Admin Console

Objective

Changing an analog voice line to an analog fax line OR vice-versa in Admin Console.

Procedure

Warning! This process will delete all call history, call forwarding settings, voicemails, voicemail greetings, and will deactivate your device. Please make sure to copy all pertinent data before following the steps below.

  1. Log in to Admin Console (AC) as an admin.
  2. Click Users.
  3. Edit the affected user.
  4. Go to the Services and Permissions section.
  5. Click X to remove the assigned service (e.g., X Series - X2 - V0SVC0216-02-US).
  6. Click Save.
  7. Go to Service and Permissions again and select the same service that was just removed.
  8. Go to Voice Basic Settings and select the analog fax/voice device from the Device Model menu.
  9. Select the ATA terminal.
  10. Activate the device via either MAC address or Activation code.
  11. Click Save.
