Polycom Device showing high number of phantom missed calls

Symptom

Polycom Device (not specific to a model number) shows a high number of missed calls that the user has no record of receiving.

Applies To

  • Polycom Devices 

Resolution

  1. Press the "Down" arrow key on your phone's navigation keys to enter the missed calls window.
  2. An option to "Clear" should be available on the screen. Select this to clear the missed calls from your device. (On most Polycom models, the "Clear" button can be selected by pressing the Left arrow key)  

Cause

The device is unable to differentiate whether or not the user is a member of a ring group. Consequently, the device will show every call for that ring group that was not answered by the specific user as a missed call.
