This how-to article will guide you through the steps on how to create user profiles in 8x8 Express.
- 8x8 Express
- Login into 8x8 Manager
- Click Users and phones
- Click Add user or phone
Note: If you do not have any available licenses, you will not be able to add additional users. You will either need to add more by going to the 8x8 Store, or delete existing users to free up licenses.
- Fill out all of the required fields under the Account Detail section.
Note: Use toggle in the image above if you want 8x8 Manager Express to automaticity add this new user to your call handling team.
- If the user is using a desk phone, use the drop down to select the type of device they using. Then activate the device by the MAC address or the activation code. MAC address can be found on the bottom of the phone. The activation code can be found on your included packing information.
- By default, the system will assign a extension number, and a local number that matches your business number's area code. If both of these fit your needs you can proceed to step 7. If you want to change the number, click change.
6b. Enter the desired area code and then select the number you like.
6c. Click confirm.
- Click save.
