Switchboard Calls Failing to Mobile Contact Number

Why are call attempts to a contact's Mobile number failing?

Applies To

  • Switchboard,
  • 8x8 Admin Console users with a Personal Contact Number set


The Personal Contact Number contains special characters (most often hypens or dashes "-").

Removing them will allow Switchboard to successfully dial the number.
