2020-09-18: Cisco Phones to Reboot Following Firmware Upgrade

Issue

On Friday, 9/18/2020, 8x8 will release a firmware upgrade for Cisco desk phones configured with paging functionality on 8x8 service. Upon the firmware push, as long as the phones are not being used in an active call, Cisco phones will restart to complete the upgrade. Devices should be back in full service within 5 minutes.

Note: If a phone is in use on an active call at the time of firmware release, it will restart to complete the upgrade at the conclusion of the call. Active phone calls will NOT be interrupted.

  • Cisco desk phones

Status

The firmware update was pushed on 9/18/20. All updates are complete.
