8x8 Call Recording Retention Policy
Call recording media files and associated metadata (which includes recording transcription) are retained for the retention period purchased and assigned to the user who generated the recording at the time the recording was made.
8x8 noticed that metadata and transcriptions were persisting in the Quality Management and Speech Analytics application after the retention period had already passed and the media files had been deleted. 8x8 released a maintenance patch with customer notification that removed the metadata and transcriptions from the application.
Result for Customers
As a result of the patch in May 2021, customers can no longer view metadata and transcriptions inside the Quality Management and Speech Analytics application for call recordings that have been deleted.
