Unable to change External Caller ID in Configuration Manager

Symptom

Unable to change the users External Caller ID to one of the saved virtual numbers

Applies To

  • Configuration Manager

Resolution

You will need to be logged into Configuration Manager to proceed with the below.

  1. Check to see if the outbound caller ID is shown in the drop-down list against your user's profiles 
  2. If the number does not appear in the list, check to see if the intended number is enabled with Shared Caller ID
  3. If the number still does not appear in the list then Contact 8x8 Support for further assistance.

Cause

This is normally caused on the initial set up on the acquired number, and that it has not been enabled to be shared with the users.
