How do I prevent incoming calls from routing to voicemail in Virtual Office Configuration Manager?

You can prevent your calls from routing to voicemail by forwarding them to another extension. To prevent callers from leaving voicemail messages, you can set your voicemail to announce-only mode through your desk phone.

Note: End users can set up forwarding options for only their own extension, but account admins can set up forwarding options for any user.

To forward calls to another number in VO Configuration Manager

In Virtual Office Configuration Manager, voicemail settings are configured at the user level. Calls must be forwarded to a specific destination (e.g., an external number or an internal user).

  1. Log in to VO Configuration Manager.
  2. Click Users.
  3. Click More Options next to the user you wish to edit.
  4. Select Edit from the pop-up menu.

  5. Click Advanced Settings.
  6. Go to Call Forwarding and select the checkbox to Forward all Calls or click the checkbox and select Edit to enable forwarding options for the following:
    • Forward all Calls 
      • Voicemail
      • Selected User or Service: Type in the name or number associated with an extension or enter an external number.
    • When Internet Connection is Down
      • Voicemail
      • No One and Play Busy
      • Selected Users or External Numbers: Type in the name or number associated with an extension or enter an external number.
    • When User is Busy
      • Voicemail
      • No One and Play Busy
      • Selected Users or External Numbers
    • When User does not Answer the Call: Enter the amount of time the call will ring before going to one of the forwarding options below.
      • Voicemail
      • No One and Play Busy
      • Selected Users or External Numbers
      • Forward Directly to
    • When User Gets a Call from a Blocked Caller
Note: You cannot change forwarding options for blocked callers. All numbers on the blocked caller list will hear the busy signal when they call this extension.
  1. Click Save.
  2. Save the User Profile.
