Quality Management Settings Whitelists

Whitelists

The second page of the Application section is Whitelists. Here you can set a list of IP addresses that are approved to access the application under specific conditions according to the permissions that they are granted. Use the IP Whitelist to exempt specific IP addresses (IPs) from a number of security restrictions.

Note, this only applies to users outside the local network or those not using a VPN (Virtual Private Network).

The Whitelists page is divided in two sections: the Whitelists Names list on the left and the Whitelist details on the right.

Filter Whitelist

Using the Filter Whitelists input box, you can search for specific Whitelists based on search criteria.

New Whitelist

To create a new Whitelist, click New in the upper right hand corner of the page. This opens an instance with blank fields that will be filled in. Type a name in the Whitelist Name field and add details about your new Whitelist in the Whitelist Description field. In the Whitelist IP List, add all the IP addresses that will be permitted to access the application. The application supports Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4) and Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6). CIDR notation is permitted. Type in the IP address and separate it from the next one using a space.

Whitelist Details

This opens an instance with blank fields that will be filled in. Type a name in the Whitelist Name field and add details about your new Whitelist in the Whitelist Description field. In the Whitelist IP List, add all the IP addresses that will be permitted to access the application.

Assigned Roles

The Grant all permissions drop-down menu has two options: Yes and No. When you select Yes, the IP addresses in the List will all have access to the application and all of its features. When you select No, the IP addresses in the list will only have access to the parts of the application granted by the Assigned Role in the Assigned Options section. In order to create a new role and add permissions please see the Roles page.
