Change Agent’s Chat Window Name

Objective

How To Change An Agent’s Name Displayed In The Chat Window

Applies To

Virtual Contact Center Chat

Answer

The agent’s name that is displayed in end-customer’s chat window is controlled by the agent’s Display Name in the Virtual Contact Center Configuration Manager.

  1. Log into the Virtual Contact Center Configuration Manager.

  2. In the left panel, select Agents or Users.

  3. Double click the agent’s name, User >> Edit User >> General opens.

  4. Edit the Display Name as desired.

    1. If Display Name is blank, then by default “Agent” is displayed instead of the agent’s name.

  5. Click Save

  6. The new Display Name will be used after the Agent logs out of and logs back into the Agent GUI.
