Unable to make outbound calls from Virtual Office Desktop on Windows 10 1809 "Fall Creator Update"

Symptom

When using Virtual Office Desktop on Windows 10 version 1809 calls will fail and Call Ended message is displayed.

Applies To

Virtual Office Desktop version 6.0 Installed on Windows 10 version 1809 computers.

Resolution

1.Select the Windows Icon(1) > Settings(2

2.Privacy:

3. Select Microphone(1)

Verify Allow access to the microphone on this device is set to on(2), if not select Change and enable

Verify Allow apps to access your microphone switch is toggle to On(3)

Exit Virtual Office Desktop and re-launch application. 

If issues still exist, re-install the application or escalate to ATS.

Cause

The latest October update for Windows 10, version 1809 or commonly known as "Falls Creator Update" introduced new Privacy Settings that may need to be adjusted to allow Virtual Office Desktop access to microphone.
