Configuring Google SSO in Virtual Office Configuration Manager

Overview

Configuring Google SSO in Virtual Office Configuration Manager will allow your users to log in to 8x8 services using their Google email address.

Enable SSO in Virtual Office Configuration Manager

This section must be completed by a user with administrative access to Virtual Office Configuration Manager.

  1. Log in to Virtual Office Configuration Manager as an administrator.
  2. Click Identity Management.

  3. Click Google SSO.
  4. Toggle the Google slider to on.

  5. Under Authentication Methods > Login Options, select the desired login option. To allow your users to log in with their 8x8 credentials and their Google email address, select Both 8x8 username and Single Sign On.
  6. Click Save.

Configure Google SSO for Individual Users

This can be completed by users with administrative access to VO Configuration Manager, or by the end user through Virtual Office Desktop > Settings > Account Settings > Advanced Account Settings.

  1. In the upper left corner, click the menu icon, then click Users.
  2. To the right of the desired user, click More Options (three dots).
  3. Select Edit.
  4. Open the Advanced Settings section.
  5. Scroll to Single Sign On and enter the user's Google ID.

  6. Click Save.
  7. Log in to Virtual Office Desktop as the selected user.
  8. Click Use Single Sign On.
  9. Click Continue.
  10. Click Log in using Google.
  11. Click Next.
  12. Enter the password and click Sign In.
  13. If applicable, enter the Google 2-Step Verification code.
  14. Click Done.

Sync with Google Calendar

This should be completed by the end user in Virtual Office Desktop.

  1. Log in to Virtual Office Desktop.
  2. Click More Options (three dots).
  3. Click Settings > Calendar for meetings.
  4. Click Sync Google Calendar.
  5. Select a Google account to sync.
  6. Enter the Google account password.
  7. Click Next.
  8. If applicable, enter the 2-Step Verification code.
  9. Click Next.
  10. Click Allow.
