Displaying Non-8x8 Numbers on Outbound Calls

8x8 offers caller ID masking which allows you to display a non-8x8 number on your extensions. This feature is helpful if you are not immediately porting your number to 8x8, or if you want to match your 8x8 outbound caller ID to that of another carrier in your organization. 

To display a non-8x8 number on your outbound calls, create a case with 8x8 Support and provide the following completed by the owner of the number that you wish to display:

  • A copy of the bill (COB)
  • A Letter of Agency (LOA)

Both documents must be dated within the last 30 days.

Once this number has been enabled, you can edit your outbound caller ID in Virtual Office or Virtual Contact Center.
