What is WinMTR?
MTR (My Traceroute, originally called Matt's Traceroute) is a Linux/Unix utility that combines Ping and Traceroute functions into one easy-to-use program. WinMTR is a Windows clone of MTR. MTR is run on a user's computer to provide detailed hop test data. MTR does not require installation or system admin rights.
This tool is used to identify any potential LAN or ISP issues by providing detailed data for resolution.
This tool is typically available for download at http://winmtr.net/download-winmtr. However, in case that site is unavailable, we provide it here as a courtesy.
To use the WinMTR tool
Download the .zip file.
Extract the file.
Run the appropriate file, either 32 or 64 bit.
Once the program is running, enter a host name and click Start.
Once testing is complete, stop the test and export the results either as text or HTML.
Provide these results to 8x8 Techncial Support as an attachment to your case.
