Virtual Contact Center Chats Are Displaying Blank Window

Symptom

Clicking the 8x8 Contact Center Chat Button launches a blank window.

Resolution

The most current chat code must be inserted into the site's HTML. 

  1. Log in to Contact Center Configuration Manager.
  2. Click Scripts.
  3. Navigate to the Chat tab.
  4. Click Edit (pencil icon). 
  5. Navigate to the Code tab.
  6. Select the Channel.
  7. Click Generate Code.ChatCodeSnippet.JPG
  8. Copy the code snippet. 
  9. Paste the snippet into the site HTML. 

Cause

The chat code on the site is outdated.

The code snippet can be tested by using a third-party HTML editor.
